Welcome
A new Parliament is always an opportunity for change, and each new Parliament brings with it new focus, new priorities, new people and new pace.
This conference provides a timely opportunity to find out what you need to know about the substantial policy and legislative programmes of the first 18 months of the new Parliament. Coming only weeks after the Queen’s Speech, this event will look in detail at the Government’s policy and political priorities, and explain the legislative programme for the forthcoming session and the Parliament as a whole.
This conference brings a fresh set of perspectives for delegates, who will hear from, and be able to question, leading Parliamentarians, Policy Advisors and Sector Experts about the legislative programme and key policy developments in the first 18 months of the Parliament.
All major policy areas will be analysed, including health, education, welfare, environment, finance and the economy, foreign and domestic policy, local government, criminal justice, energy and home affairs and transport.
On the 10th June CPS is also organising a related event entitled
"Government Accountability and the Civil Service: Understanding and Dealing with New Parliamentary Procedures".
